Welcome to the Discuss 42 forums, hopefully you'll enjoy your stay and have a look around the various rooms, say hello, get involved in existing chatter and start your own. We'll be a friendly bunch here.

- The username is restricted to just letters and numbers, cannot contain spaces, and may not be longer than twenty characters (not our choosing, just proboards default).
- Please report any problems in the HELP SECTION forum. I am learning about what is and isn't possible as we go along too, so I might not spot everything straight away. Help and patience is appreciated.
- You can tag other members of the forum in the posts you make by using the at sign followed by their username. If you want to tag me in anything then please type in 'at admin' rather than 'at Mr42', then it will notify me.
- If you want to change the theme of the forum, you can do it here: Profile - Edit Profile - Settings - Forum Theme > then pick which you want. Default is as I intended the forum to look, 'Laid Bare' is stripped down for more subtle work browsing, 'Space' is in keeping with the universe idea. More will follow at some point... suggestions welcome.
- Keep all your stuff work safe (obscene, rude, crude images particularly), we'd like it to be a grown up environment that people can access at work. Language hasn't got any restrictions, but we'll be monitoring pictures.
- Keep personal arguments off the forum, it's fun to banter but then serious stuff should be sorted in private message, email, away from here...
- Also, THIS TOPIC HERE EXISTS, which has some neat improvements and little touches that I think will make the posting experience easier for all.

All the star and rating systems are is a bit of fun... I've set up forums in the past, and used these systems before, and it becomes a bit of a game for people.
STARS
50 posts = 1 gold star
500 posts = 2 gold stars
1000 posts = 3 gold stars
5000 posts = 4 gold stars
10000 posts = 4 red stars
25000 posts / D42 Staff = 5 Silver stars
50000 posts / Admin = 5 Black stars
STATUS RATINGS
0 = Newborn
50 = Learner
100 = Full Member
500 = D42 brings me free food
750 = D42 lets me stay over
1000 = I am part of the furniture
2000 = I am a keyholder
3000 = I have my own room
4000 = D42 Obsessive
5000 = D42 Major Player
10000 = Proud D42 Addict
25000 = D42 Shareholder
50000 = D42 Supreme Jedi
