Google's self-driving cars are out there, being tested, on real roads, and, this article about it makes perfect sense.
I'd actually be all for this as standard on the roads. It seems that, judging by the video, they've taken into account 'human instinct' as well, and, as mentioned, the potential for it seems to offer up less risks than 'fallible' people doing the driving might.
Definitely one to read, certainly one to think about.
