Sorry for the spam but thought I'd just post about the family friendly matiness that I've started doing in Leeds, there's more info up at youthanthems.wordpress.com but basically they are all ages matinees at Wharf Chambers every 3 months with a mix of punk, indie and folk bands (though all genres are welcome). It's free entry for people 14 or under and £4 for everyone else, the doors open around 1:30pm and bands (usually three of them) are on from 2-4pm.
I try to make sure the bands aren't too loud (and there's always an acoustic act) but certainly recommend ear defenders for small ears.
There's also always vegan cake from That Old Chestnut bakery (which always sell out so get in there right away!).
The next gig is a benefit for the great local charity PAFRAS and looks a bit like this (though No Ditching are also playing now as they asked nicely):
