I've been listening to them a lot recently, listened to all three 'proper' albums yesterday, may well do the same again today. Completely crazy, and another master-stroke from Mike Patton, alongside Trevor Dunn (Mr Bungle), King Buzzo (Melvins), Dave Lombardo (Slayer).
I loved reading about the 'Suspended Animation' album... "an album by Mike Patton's supergroup Fantômas. It is a concept album that incorporates a dual theme of cartoon sounds/music as well as paying tribute to obscure and dubious holidays throughout the month of April."
Totally insane but original.
Obviously 'Director's Cut' is a work of art, all the film theme songs re-done in their own inimitable way, and the first one 'Fantomas' is totally bonkers as well.
They've just confirmed to play a festival in December in Chile, alongside PRIMUS!! I wish I could go to that.
