Simple premise. Never ending.
I pick two bands / musicians, the next person picks their favourite (maybe a little reason why), then they pick two more. Easy. Doesn't matter if it's the same style or not, test your aural comparison skills.
The Beatles vs The Rolling Stones. GO!

The Beatles, but only because of Eleanor Rigby.
Kyuss or Queens of The Stone Age.

Queens of the Stone Age for me (maybe surprising), I like them because they're more diverse to be honest.
Blondie vs Heart

Ooo you swine. Heart (probably surprisingly too) Listen to Barracuda, Little Queen album. 70's stuff is way better.
Weekend Nachos or Yacopsae

The two best yacopsae albums I think are better than the best weekend nachos stuff.. but I prefer listening to nachos overall. Utter anger. Silly band live as well.

Potishead or Tricky

Heh, think we've had this chatter before.
Tricky definitely, I want to like Portishead a lot more than I do. Her voice grates on me quite a bit. Maximquaye is one of the best albums of its kind I think.

Oh man, I want to say Simply Red, because U2 are something else. But Mick Hucknall's voice makes me feel sick..
Gonna have to say U2.

I WAS thinking about it (had asked Leeds Music Scene if they could get me in to review it), but then Aghast got confirmed to play somewhere else (Fox and Newt I think), and I've not seen those chaps in years and they're good mates, so gonna go to that instead.
I have to admit, I don't know either of those two that well, but Biggie Smalls is a way funnier name, so I'll pick him.

Fair one.
Had to Google The Shadows, as I had no idea who they were. Gonna go with Elvis, even though I don't really like his music.
Soulfly or Slipknot
|
|
|
Post by Mr42 on Sept 16, 2014 14:55:15 GMT
Slipknot definitely. Their new song is bollocks, but Soulfly have done one good song, ever, ('Frontlines'), and that's only good cos it sounds like 'Arise'-era Sepultura, and Slipknot, well, they've done three mint albums I reckon...

Probably Deftones Liked both of them quite a lot when I was a kid. Adrenaline is still pretty decent. Not listened to old System of a Down in ages. The newer stuff was a bit bab though..

Korn definitely, they had two decent albums at least, especially at the time. Fred Durst is such an annoying bastard! Haha...
